Ecologist Nang Se-Hyeon discovers traces of poachers while conducting a bird watching in a deep mountain that she has been doing every year since late autumn. She expresses her concerns and suddenly encounters Kang Ji-Ah. Se-Hyeon mistakes Ji-Ah for a poacher and attacks her with pepper spray, but Ji-Ah claims that she is an official hunter who has received permission from the mountain owner to hunt harmful birds. However, he loses her pouch containing her permit and contact information after rolling down the mountain path, so there is no way to confirm her identity. Se-Hyeon becomes anxious, suspecting Ji-Ah’s true identity. Since the mountain is far from a base station, cell phones do not work well, and it takes a whole day to get to a house, she cannot send Ji-Ah back immediately. In the end, Se-Hyeon decides to stay with Ji-Ah until she recovers while still being suspicious. Ji-Ah follows Se-Hyeon around as she continues to observe birds, and begins to show curiosity about her work.
